Jacob received his BS degree in Meteorology in May 2010 and his MS degree in Atmospheric Science in August 2012, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He began his thesis research at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in 2011, and continued as a NASA Nebraska Space Grant fellow while at UNL. His research focus was on characterizing and improving coastal aerosol retrievals using the MODIS satellite sensor. Jacob has recently started his career with the United States Air Force training to become a pilot.

Job after graduation: Pilot in Air Force, although oringal application was for a meteorologist position.
