Part-time Research Assistant (RA), Sep. 2009 - May 2010

Nicole is currently working towards finishing her B.S. degree in Meteorology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  In April 2009, Nicole was selected to participate in the Research Experience for Undergraduates program at Hampton University, during which she did research on the Quasi-Biennial Oscillation (QBO). Along with another student and mentor, the team worked to model the differences between the effects of the QBO and seasonal variations on different chemical species. Nicole and her team will be presenting their work at the AMS Annual Meeting student poster session in January 2010.

Funded by the NASA Nebraska Space Grant, Melissa is now using MODIS and EPA PM2.5 data to study U.S. air quality.

Now a graduate student at Hampton University with full scholarship.
