Postdoctoral Research Scholar Since November 2021
Lakhima Chutia is a postdoctoral research scholar in the Atmospheric and Environmental Research Lab. She is involved in NASA and NOAA-funded projects on the transport and climate effects of aerosols from volcanic eruptions, biomass burning, and anthropogenic emissions. Her research approach involves a combined use of satellite remote sensing and chemistry-transport models such as WRF-Chem and GEOS-Chem.
Lakhima completed her master’s in Physics from Dibrugarh University, India, and recently obtained her Ph.D. degree in Atmospheric Science from the same University in Oct 2021.
