Rafael received his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Iowa in May 2024. He joined the group in February 2025 as a Ph.D. student to work on the I-Canopy sensors, which are used to gather atmospheric data for improved weather prediction. His research interests include the development of IoT based embedded systems for environmental monitoring and precision agriculture
