After receiving his BS and MS degrees in Atmospheric Sciences from Lanzhou University,
Richard joined ARROMA group in 2008 and earned his PhD degree (Earth and Atmospheric Sciences)
at University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2015. His research areas include remote sensing and
chemistry modeling of atmospheric aerosols, with the emphasis on the development of passive
remote sensing retrieval algorithms, inverse modeling of aerosol emissions, and satellite
aerosol data assimilation.
